Every Savannah starts with hand-selected A-grade Teak or A-grade Mahogany — woods that are prized by furniture makers worldwide for their natural durability, beauty, and resistance to the elements.
That’s not an accident. The Savannah was designed to be a pure expression of what great wood and clean lines can do together. No paint to hide behind, no ornate details to distract. Just expertly joined hardwood in a contemporary silhouette that lets the natural material speak for itself.
Where The Charlotte leans modern-elegant and The Edisto leans farmhouse, The Savannah occupies its own lane: contemporary minimalism. The lines are clean, the profile is low, and the overall impression is one of intentional simplicity. This Teak swing bed is made for people who are drawn to modern architecture, mid-century design, or Scandinavian aesthetics.
The Savannah is a true chameleon in terms of the spaces it thrives in; concrete porches, steel-railing balconies, contemporary pool decks, modern screened-in patios, sunroom, you name it. Its narrow profile and minimalist design are second only to its beauty as a Mahogany or Teak Swing bed.
We made a deliberate decision to offer The Savannah in only two wood species, and both are premium hardwoods:
A-Grade Teak — Widely considered the finest outdoor wood in the world. Its naturally high oil content makes it resistant to moisture, rot, insects, and UV damage without any finish required. Left unfinished, Teak develops a beautiful silver-grey patina over time. Oiled periodically, it maintains a warm, honey-gold tone. Dress it up or down, The Savannah in Teak is one of our most striking combinations.
A-Grade Mahogany — Brings warmth, depth, and richness that no other wood can match. Its tight, interlocking grain resists warping and cracking, while its natural oils provide genuine rot resistance. Mahogany accepts stain beautifully if you want to deepen or shift its natural reddish-brown tone.
Both woods are sourced in the highest lumber grade commercially available.
Loveseat — Our most compact size. Perfect for apartment balconies, small porches, nurseries, or anywhere you want a teak swing bed without a large footprint. Fits our Loveseat mattress (28″ x 52″).
Twin — The most popular size across our entire collection. Comfortable for 2–3 adults sitting or generous lounging space for one. Fits a standard twin mattress (39″ x 75″).
Full — Maximum space for stretching out. Ideal for larger porches, pool areas, and anyone who prioritizes room. Fits a standard full mattress (54″ x 75″).
Unfinished / Oiled Teak — The most popular Savannah configuration. The natural Teak is left unfinished or lightly oiled, allowing the wood’s natural beauty and weather-resistance to do the work.
Stained Mahogany — Choose from our stain palette to enhance or shift Mahogany’s natural warm tone. Popular choices include Early American, Weathered Oak, and Dark Walnut.
Sealed/Clear Coat — A protective clear finish that preserves the wood’s natural color while adding weather protection. Available on both Teak and Mahogany.
Painted — Both Teak and Mahogany can also be painted, though most Savannah customers prefer to showcase the natural hardwood.

We generally try to avoid top mounting hardware in the Savannah to ensure the longevity of your swing bed. Similar to the Charlotte, we run into a surface area issue.
The Savannah’s streamlined design uses less material and requires fewer production steps than our more intricate models. The price difference comes from design efficiency, not quality. You’re getting premium Teak or Mahogany with the same craftsmanship as our other models.
Very little. If left unfinished, your teak swing bed will naturally weather to a silver-grey patina. To maintain the original honey-gold color, a light application of teak oil once or twice a year is all it takes.
Both are contemporary designs, but with some notable differences. The Charlotte has a solid paneled backrest, accepts only paint, and is available in more wood species. The Savannah has a more minimalist design, is built exclusively from Teak or Mahogany, and sets the tempo on pricing. If you want a modern swing bed that showcases natural hardwood, The Savannah is your pick.
It might be the best choice. At $2,195 it’s the most accessible price in our collection, but you’re getting premium hardwood construction and the same joinery as our higher-priced models.
