Our process begins with sustainable harvesting methods. We source only FSC-certified American Quality Lumber, ensuring that our wood comes from responsibly managed forests. Additionally, we use FEQ (First European Quality) lumber for unmatched durability and beauty.
As a low-impact, eco-friendly company, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. By prioritizing ethical sourcing, we not only protect the planet but also provide you with sustainable outdoor furniture.
Raw lumber gets broken down to the precise dimensions required for each swing bed model. This means pulling, surfacing, and cutting every component to its exact measurements. We also collaborate with local milling companies to further reduce our environmental impact.
During this process, wood with blemishes, blowouts, or other defects is discarded or turned into pallets, ensuring the integrity and longevity of your bed swing.
We employ a specialized combination of joinery techniques in all of our swing beds, combining the strength of mortise and tenon with the usability and practicality of robust timber hardware. This allows every model we make to be serviceable for years to come, while keeping detail components and joints tough as nails.
We know that “life happens”, which is why we make it easy to interchange pieces in the event of careless movers, rambunctious kids, or “Acts of God”.
Before your porch bed swing reaches your home, it undergoes a meticulous assembly process. We assemble, disassemble, and reassemble each one to guarantee its quality and durability. This thorough approach allows us to identify and address any issues before the product leaves our workshop, giving you peace of mind that your swing bed is built to last.
Everything is handcrafted by skilled artisans who bring years of expertise to the table. Our team meticulously drills holes, attaches hardware, and sands every surface to perfection. This level of attention ensures that your hanging daybed is not only visually stunning but also structurally sound.
The finishing stage of production means your swing bed is officially queued for the paint booth, where your finish of choice is carefully applied from our selection of 15+ colors. Customers living in a coastal environment can also opt for our custom exterior acrylic paint, which is specially formulated to withstand high temperatures, humidity, and salty air.
Once the finish has been applied, the bed enters its curing phase. We then give it one final inspection before prepping it for shipping.
Once your swing bed passes final inspection, we ensure it arrives safely at your door from our workshop. Our forest-to-door service includes secure transit, with trusted national carriers such as UPS handling delivery. Each component is carefully packaged to protect it during transport, ensuring that it arrives in pristine condition, ready for you to enjoy.
